Artist Profile

H. Masacz is a UK-based painter whose work explores the human condition through symbolism and narrative in oil paint. She is currently developing a new series, Veil and Fire, which investigates the archetypal dualities of the maternal and the defiant, the sacred and the rebellious, and the tension between concealment and revelation. Masacz graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and later studied at a London atelier school. Her paintings have been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery (2004, 2011). She has received the Arts Club Award from the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and won the Riverstone Living Prize at the 2025 Women in Art Prize. Her work is held in both private and public collections, including Mansfield College, Oxford University. She has a solo show at Zebra One Gallery, Hampstead, in October 2026.
