Shelter X Women In Art
We are proud to announce a partnership with Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity, bringing together the worlds of contemporary art and social justice.
Shelter has been fighting for people’s homes and rights since 1966. Their work — providing advice, legal support, and advocacy for those facing homelessness and housing insecurity — is as vital today as it has ever been.
Why This Partnership Matters
Art and housing are more connected than they might appear. Artists are disproportionately affected by housing insecurity, particularly female artists who are more likely to be working part-time or in low-income situations. A stable home is not a luxury — it is the foundation from which creative practice can grow.
Through this partnership, we aim to raise awareness of housing insecurity among the creative community and to support Shelter’s ongoing work.
We will be sharing more details about joint initiatives in the coming months. In the meantime, we encourage our community to learn about and support Shelter’s vital mission.
