For nine years the Women in Art Prize has existed to answer a simple question: who gets seen? Every year our finalists and winners produce work of extraordinary quality, and every year the same challenge follows the prize-giving — what happens next. An exhibition closes. A press feature runs its course. The work returns to the studio.

womeninart.com exists to close that gap. Launched in July 2026, it is an online marketplace built exclusively for women artists — a permanent, year-round platform where work can be discovered, collected and sold long after the exhibition walls come down.

A platform, not a moment

Prizes are, by their nature, momentary. A marketplace is not. On womeninart.com, artists hold their own profile and present their work to collectors, curators and galleries who come to the platform specifically to find women artists — an audience that arrives already looking for exactly what our artists make.

The intention is straightforward: to turn visibility into sustainability. Recognition matters, but a career is built on collectors who return, on work that finds its audience, and on a presence that does not disappear when the news cycle moves on.

Part of the 2026 winners' package

A full year on womeninart.com now forms part of the Women in Art Prize winners' package, awarded alongside the Overall Prize and the Photography, Sculpture and Printmaking category prizes. Winners join the marketplace with a full profile and a year to build their collector base — support that continues well beyond the ceremony.

The marketplace is open now, and we would encourage every artist in our community to take a look at what it offers.
