Jodie Wingham (b. 1991, Birmingham) is an artist predominantly working in printmaking, living and working in the West Midlands. Her practice challenges the constructs of the medium through an investigation into the nature of looking, combining printmaking with non-traditional methods of display to create artworks that playfully distort images and turn prints into sculptural forms. She focuses on the viewer's desire to look and gain information, often using imagery with voyeuristic tendencies. Following her MA in Fine Art (Distinction) from Birmingham City University, her work has been selected for shows across the UK, including a UKYA takeover in Nottingham, and internationally with a joint proposal selected for a group show at Terrault Gallery in Baltimore, USA. She was also shortlisted for the Great British Art Prize and selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
