Louise Michele Bird is a UK-based artist who has been creating artworks throughout her life. Born into a creative family, she earned a degree and worked as a freelance illustrator for over a decade. Following the start of her family, she transitioned into portraiture and has worked as a commissioned portrait artist for the past twenty years. Her career has involved relocations from Birmingham to the Cotswolds, Qatar, and currently Devon — each location influencing her artistic development. Throughout her artistic life, the human figure has been the overriding subject of her work, with an emphasis on exploring emotions, character, and the joy and fragility of life. She has recently focused on personal works featuring nudes and figures, supported by an Arts Council grant, and has exhibited at venues including the Roundhouse in Camden and was shortlisted for the Women in Art Prize.
