Petra Schott is a German contemporary artist living and working in Frankfurt. She completed studies in Fine Art at the Art Academy in Kassel in 1982, before a long career as a lawyer and judge, and has since dedicated herself fully to making art. Her recent works oscillate between subtle figuration and lyrical abstraction, with vibrant oil paintings exploring states of mind, longings, and memories — delicately creating colourful representations of nostalgia, freedom, and human relationships. She received the Jackson's Painting Prize for non-representational art in 2023, and her work has attracted the attention of national and international galleries, art critics, and collectors. Her work has been featured in Create! Magazine and Art Seen.
