Please Could You Stop the Noise
Lisa Speirs-Fleming is a Scottish artist and printmaker based in Angus, specialising in traditional printmaking techniques, particularly linocut and woodcut. She completed her Fine Art degree at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (2025), graduating with honours and receiving both the Barbara Robertson Printmaking Prize and the Bernard Cooper Prize. Her practice centres on themes of motherhood, mental health vulnerability, and resilience, presenting what she describes as 'a surreal and symbolic visual language' exploring early motherhood as a transformative period. Through narrative imagery and distinctive illustration, she depicts maternal experiences alongside the role nature plays as a space for reflection and solitude.
