Jenny Lewis is a London-based portrait photographer with over 30 years of experience creating truthful portraits. Her practice explores identity, women's health, and the underrepresented experiences of ageing. Her series 'UnBecoming' (begun 2023) centres on an unravelling of the self at midlife — an intimate untangling of her experience living with a chronic illness and navigating the unknown territory of menopause, as well as her own fears of mortality. The National Portrait Gallery has acquired her work as part of their collection. She has been exhibited in the NPG's Taylor Wessing Photo Portrait Prize in 2019, 2021 and 2023.
