Anum Hashmi is a contemporary artist and surface designer whose intricate practice blends digital mixed media with cultural and spiritual themes. Though currently based in Dubai, her artistic roots and professional experience are deeply tied to London. Her work explores the intersection of traditional practices and modern life — a recent piece, 'Secrets of the Wash Basin', uses a basin as a metaphor for a place where washed-away sins are harboured, marked by the memories of its visitors. She works across sustainable printmaking, photography, and mixed media collage, drawing on organic influences and abstraction. She is also skilled in miniature painting, a tradition she has shared through workshops in multiple countries.
