Suzanne Dolan is an Irish ceramic artist making narrative vessels that use humour, satire and what she calls “weaponised frivolity” to look at the absurdities of contemporary life. Her work moves between the domestic and the political, exploring gender, power, care and culture through densely illustrated surfaces and playful visual storytelling. Beneath the colour and humour sits a sharper observation of the systems, expectations and contradictions that shape everyday life.
