Nadia Z Andres is a self-taught oil painter whose practice explores themes of rest, recovery, memory and surrounding spaces. Working primarily with beds, textiles and interior scenes, she reflects on the relationship between physical comfort and emotional experience. Her ongoing sleep series explores pause, transition and early adulthood, using familiar spaces as a way to consider personal growth and the process of understanding oneself through painting.
