Christine Roychowdhury (SWA) is an artist living and working in Suffolk, England. She studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths’ College, London, and was elected a member of the Society of Women Artists (SWA) in 2025. Her practice explores themes including time, ageing, prejudice, ambition and class, with a particular focus on women at work and the class divide. Drawing on composition and colour, Roychowdhury aims to create work that connects visually, intellectually and emotionally, encouraging empathy and questioning social and political conventions. Roychowdhury's work is both very political and personal. In 2026 she won the RSA inaugural prize for changing ideas with her piece.
